Johann Brenz (1499-1570) was a leading early Reformation figure in Württemberg. While known primarily for his writings on the Lord's Supper and church organization (including a Church Order, a collection of Lutheran rites and pastoral ministry applications), Brenz also wrote many works on Holy Scripture as well. The following is a translation of Brenz's commentary on Numbers 9, from his untranslated Latin work, Operum Reverendi et Clarissimi Theologi, D. Ioannis Brentii, praepositi Stutgardiani, vol. 1:935-937 (Tubingae : Gruppenbachius, 1576).
To see many other untranslated writings by Brenz, I highly recommend the Post Reformation Digital Library.
